IF you don't mind ...

hebergeur image

A few days ago, "Easy Fashion Paris" had its 4 000 000 th visitor since creation of my blog. Incredible and a great satisfaction for me ! But let me tell you something has changed and not in a good way. Where Easy Fashion had 25 comments , now I get hardly 5 comments for a post. Why ?
I tell you why: Some visitors are taking Street Style Blogs for supermarkets of free Fashion pictures picking up pictures and never let a comment or a smile. They come here just to take pics and bring them back to Fashion Forums or Social networks like "The Fashion Spot" (which hosts hundreds of my pictures and denied me access) or "Pinterest"(With his big mouth full of deontology). Even when they link back, they bring no traffic at all ... And let me tell you about those who steal 100% of my blog (like Feedmefashion) or dirty people who duplicate it (changing one letter or more in the adress) to sell advertising. That's my situation today and I will not go on like that eternally if I have not your support.
Thank you !

Il y a quelques jours, "Easy Fashion Paris" a dépassé les 4 000 000 de visiteurs depuis sa création. C'est incroyable et une vraie satisfaction pour moi. Toutefois une chose me désespère.
Merci !

Fred

It´s a crap ... but my recommendation - it would be great if you had a Facebook page with the pictures, sharing (and direct linking to you) would be much easier.

I really enjoy your wonderful blog and find it appalling that people would do such things. For my part, I refuse to follow any of the "fashion forum" type sites or blogs that just re-post other bloggers' work. Best wishes and support to you.

This isn't a good situation for photographers. Any ideas how to improve the situation? Can't believe "Fashion Spot" denied you access although they have hundreds of your photos over there. I like your blog and stop by whenever I can. Must thank Fashion Art And Other Fancies for this. I first saw mention of your blog there. Good luck. Nathalie

I am sorry to hear that! :(
I think maybe a flash based blog could be an option, so they can not rightclick+save your pictures. Also use a creative common license on the starter page, so they can share but have to link back: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/
or something like that.

I love your blog! It shows a big variety in styles and its never boring.

I'm sorry that's happening to you. I am a huge fan of your site and of your photos. I'm sure there's a surefire way of protecting your work online.

I find it sad that nowadays there are billions of people calling themselves "independent fashion bloggers" or whatever (people who claim to be some fashion experts on that fashion forum) just because they have the Internet access!
But I love your blog and all the pictures you've taken. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Best wishes.

Yes, I see the facebook group in the sidebar, but it isn´t a facebook page and so there isn´t possible to "like it" and then have new posts in the ones news feed ... facebook page would be better ... also when you use networkedblogs when someone click on the link there´s their toolbar on the top of the page ... for example ifttt.com is better for automatic sharing, no toolbar
Facebook page and their new timeline is really much more attractive for followers.

Hi, I've been visting your blog for a couple of weeks now, it's really amazing, I love it, and your announcement made me to make my first comment. I must say I find this behaviour very offensive, it's unbeliveable that someone dare to steal your photos by thoughtless reposting and distribute without any link back or sign. You have my support!

Kat said...

Just wanted to say I love your blog. Can you copyright your photos?

I love this blog!! I always come to see if there are new things at least three times a week. Your photos are fantastic; they capture the spirit of the style so well. Every photo on your blog is worth sharing so I'm not surprised that people are stealing them.

Best of luck and my support goes out to you. Your blog is excellent with a consistent standard of merit.

hi. i really love your blog and have been following it for maybe 2 years now, or so. i think this problem that you're dealing with right now is just something that goes with free-on-line-things. maybe it would frustrate me too, but i have to admit i've been taking/saving some of your photos myself (the most inspiring ones to me) to print them and pin them up on the walls in my room, but haven't been commenting regularly. i never ment you to feel bad and i'm sorry but i don't think i did something wrong. i know it's not the same as using your work for some other blogs and not giving you the credit for it so i wanted to give you apsolute support.

Thanks to you all for your great support !
It makes me happy for this sunday

Dear A
You don't have to be sorry
I love the idea you pin up one of my picture on your wall.

Mainly this problem is not with blogs anyway
It's with social network and Fashion Forums

Some websites remove my copyright on my pics and put another one you know !
I wonder how they feel ....

I think you have an awesome blog. That's all I have to say... Oh, and a smile :)

I absolutely love your blog. It gives me the feeling I am back in Paris again even though I live across the world. I don't always have time to comment, like another reader, but rest assured your site is always enjoyed. Thanks for all your hard work!

Anonymous said...

Also, I have pinned some of your pictures onto my Pinterest because they are so lovely, and I want to find them quickly. However, if you would like me to remove them I would be glad to do so.

Easy Fashion Fred said...

Thank you Dear A's

To the second "A"
I don't ask you to remove anything
You just have to be aware that "Pinterest" is not conceived to bring visits to Easy Fashion but just to benefit on our work ...
I have around 5OO pictures (or more) on Pinterest and 0 visitor coming from Pinterest.
That's just how you kill a blog
A kis

You're copied b/c you're good and they're lazy. It's that simple. Embed your site name across the middle of the picture so if stealers use it, everyone will know the source.

I have your blog on my Google Reader, so don't usually comment even though I get to see your beautiful photography every time you post. I love your blog, and I think it is awful that people feel the need to steal images without giving proper credit back to you. You are an amazing fashion photographer, I'm just sorry it took this post for me to comment.

Easy Fashion Fred said...

It's ok Lauren Thank you !

The Copyright is just one part of the problem dear A

Maybe you can add the thing, that blocks the right-click - save picture as thing. There's the solution for it in google somewhere. "disable right click" I think it will stop many of these people from doing it. Anyway, lovely blog!

Just posted one of your pictures on my site, thestylishcity.com, but I gave your credit. I hope that's OK, and that will bring more people to your site. You have a great eye, and I hope you continue to do this successfully for a very long time. I know it's hard doing what you do, people don't realize how much time and money we spend on what once started as a "labor of love"

Hi Fred, I've been reading your blog for years now, and I love your photographs. Some of them i have printed and are peppered around my wall and my fashion scrapbooks.
I have never commented, but then I don't comment on blogs much. But certainly wanted to let you know how much your blog is silently appreciated :)
